Beijing Day 1

We are a little delayed in updating our blog because of some technical issues with the internet, but I think we got it resolved.  

On Thursday, we arrived in Beijing around 5:00pm and got to our hotel after having gone without sleep for 27 hours.  We were both tired, but excited to set foot in China and be so close to our first meeting with Josiah.  Needless to say, we fell into our beds and slept long and well.  Thankful for good sleep with the time change.  

On Friday morning, we met the other families in our Bethany group and spent the day touring the Cloissonne Factory, the Great Wall, and the Bird's Nest (site of the 2008 Olympics).  We also saw much of Beijing and ate some REALLY good authentic Chinese food.  

It was a special blessing to be able to meet the other families (from all over the US) and hear their stories of adoption.  After we split up in a couple days to different provinces, we will meet up again in Guangzhou.
