Some of you have asked where we are traveling to pick up Josiah. He was presumably born in Urumqi which is located in the Xinjiang province in northwest China. Urumqi is a fascinating city with a lot of history. It is also the most landlocked city in the world and boasts one of the largest mountain ranges. Josiah is currently living in the Children's Welfare Center in Urumqi. This map will give you some perspective on how far out Urumqi is compared to Bejiing and the rest of China.
This is so sweet! I will be praying for you Josh and Katie! I am so thrilled that you get to go to the far parts of China to pick up your son and bring him home. What a great Christmas present!
